From November 25 to 27, 2025, the 29th China International Exhibition for Coatings (CHINACOAT 2025) was successfully held at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. Co-located with SFCHINA, the exhibition spanned 11 halls (E1–E7 and W1–W4), with the total exhibition area exceeding 120,900 square meters for the first time—setting a new historical record.

A total of 1,760 exhibitors from 31 countries and regions participated in the event, including 330 first-time exhibitors, underscoring CHINACOAT’s continued appeal as a premier global platform for the coatings and surface treatment industries.

According to official statistics, the exhibition attracted 45,024 professional visitors from 125 countries and regions. Over the three-day event, industry professionals gathered around the core theme of “Green, Innovation, and Sustainability” to exchange insights on technological trends, showcase the latest products, expand business cooperation, and jointly drive the advancement of the global coatings industry.

JLS Focuses on Green Safety with Innovative Flame-Retardant Solutions

At CHINACOAT 2025, JLS (Booth No. E5.C67) aligned closely with the industry’s sustainability agenda, presenting a portfolio of environmentally friendly flame-retardant products and technologies for multi-sector applications, attracting strong interest from both domestic and international visitors.

Addressing fire safety challenges in home furnishings and textiles, new energy vehicle battery packs, and high-end building materials, JLS highlighted its innovative flame-retardant solutions for fire-protective coatings that do not require melamine. These solutions effectively overcome international environmental compliance barriers, fully meeting stringent regulations such as EU SVHC, while significantly enhancing the environmental and safety profile of flame-retardant systems at the source.

In addition, JLS showcased high-efficiency antimony trioxide (ATO) replacement flame retardants and eco-friendly halogen-free flame retardants for water-based textile coatings, offering downstream customers diversified, high-performance, and sustainable options.

In response to increasingly strict global environmental regulations and industrial upgrading demands, JLS presented its core technological innovation—inherently flame-retardant polyether polyols. This technology enables long-lasting and stable flame retardancy in polyurethane materials without relying on additive flame retardants, achieving an optimal balance between safety and sustainability at the molecular level.
